Silent Auction Shouts Come Bid!

Hampton – The Hampton Historical Society’s 14th Annual Pig Roast features a silent auction with items that are sure to spark bids and even generate bidding wars.

Up for grabs are some 50 gift certificates donated by restaurants and other local businesses.

We have gift certificates from Ron’s Landing, Tripoli Pizza, plus those from restaurants that participate in the silent auction each year, such as Al’s Seafood, Brown’s Lobster, the Ocean Wok and the Beach Plum.

There are gift certificates from various hair salons, dry cleaners, The Maids, Dodge’s Agway and Mrs. Mitchell’s gift shop.

You can also bid on a night’s stay at the Ashworth Hotel, two tickets to any show at the Seacoast Repertory Theater and a family membership to the Seacoast Science Center.

And don’t forget the candy basket donated by Hutchinson’s Candy, the children’s candy baskets from Marelli’s and the basket of products from Eccentric Hair.

Hampton Historical Society members and friends have made contributions including an area rug from Portries, jewelry from Cohen’s, a man’s Seiko watch, a women’s leather jacket, a surround sound system, a handcrafted toy wagon, antique crystal lamps, cut glass collectibles, local history books – and more!

In addition to the silent auction there is a 50/50 raffle, activities for kids and of course the food – roast pork, applesauce, homemade baked beans, homemade brown bread, salads and a seemingly endless assortment of deserts.
