Feasting with Recipes Then and Now: Exploration of Recipes from Colonial New England
Presented by Liz Barbour, of The Creative Feast.

The event is sponsored by three Hampton community groups, Hampton Garden Club, Hampton Historical Society, and Friends of the Library, Lane Memorial Library of Hampton. It will be held on Wednesday, August 9th at 6:00 p.m. in the Lane Room, lower level of Lane Memorial Library, located at the corner of Academy Avenue and Winnacunnet Road, in Hampton.

Liz's talk will include a slide presentation that covers food sources and preparation methods from the colonial period. It is also touches on the written recipe and how its format has changed over time along with a cooking demonstration and small samplings of two of the recipes.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted - these will be used for new landscape plantings at Lane Memorial Library. Seating is limited.
